We are a volunteer-run affiliate of the global Agile Alliance. We operate as Agile Alliance Asia Pacific and are incorporated as a not-for-profit society under New Zealand law.
We align with the mission of Agile Alliance and embrace the Agile Manifesto as our foundational values and principles.
Our purpose is to connect and uplift the people, cultures and communities of the Asia Pacific region through human-centred, sustainable agility. We are independent of commercial drivers and of any single method or framework, guided by and actively advocating for the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto.
We grow from local roots to shape global change.
We support the formation of local Agile community groups across the region and provide resources, guidance, and assistance to help those groups succeed. We run regional initiatives to further the adoption of Agile thinking, and we draw on the global initiatives of the Agile Alliance to support communities closer to home.
We began in Aotearoa New Zealand, and our board now spans New Zealand and Australia. Our focus for now is on those two countries, and we aspire to grow across the wider Asia Pacific region over time.
