Members Online Lean Coffee

Join our Members’ Online Lean Coffee!

Fourth Wednesday every other month at 11 AM ET

Come think out loud with us. At Lean Coffee, you and other members swap ideas, question assumptions, unlearn a few things, and pick up new ones together — no agenda required. Lean Coffee runs with a loose structure: the group decides what’s worth discussing and in what order, in the moment. Whether you’re brand new to Agile, still finding your footing, or a longtime veteran, your voice belongs in this space.

Lean Coffee runs on a small set of principles, all pointing toward the same goal: making meetings genuinely useful without anyone needing to run them.  The core idea is minimal structure — just enough to keep things coherent and productive, and no more. Select the dates you’d like to attend below.

Build the agenda you want

There’s no agenda waiting for you when you arrive. You help build it:

  • Propose a topic. Bring a question you’re wrestling with, a problem you’d like other perspectives on, something you’ve learned, or an experience others might learn from.
  • Vote on what to discuss. The group decides which topics are most worth spending time on and in what order.
  • Talk for a set amount of time. Everyone has a chance to contribute, ask questions, and compare experiences.
  • Decide whether to keep going. When time is up, the group votes again: continue the conversation or move on to the next topic.

Thank you to Lean Coffee Table for generously donating the use of their software that we use during the online sessions.

Rules and Principles for the Lean Coffee Sessions

We encourage all members to participate, and while in the space we ask that everyone walk in the principles and rules below. Moderators are not always available, so if you encounter any issue or you need help, please contact us immediately.

Guiding Principles

  • The “Law of Mobility” — if at any time you find yourself in a situation where you are neither learning nor contributing, use your virtual feet and continue to explore the space.
  • Whoever joins are the right people; Whatever happens is the only thing that could have; Whenever it starts is the right time; When it’s over, it’s over; and wherever it happens is the right place
  • Increase connection by being unmuted with your video on (headsets encouraged).
  • Help amplify learning and embrace fun!

Rules of the Gathering

  • The Agile Alliance Code of Conduct applies when participating.
  • No shameless promotions. This is a place to share and learn together, not a space to sell products or services.
