Agile Alliance’s annual conference is dedicated to exploring, innovating, and advancing Agile values and principles, and creating a space for people and ideas to flourish. PMI® Agile 2026 brought the Agile communities together near Washington, DC, from July 26-28, 2026, to share experiences and make new connections. Passionate agilists came from around the world to learn about the latest practices, ideas, and strategies in Agile software development and Enterprise Agility from the world’s leading experts, change agents, and innovators.
Agile transformed the way we deliver. But many organizations stopped evolving how agility shows up beyond teams, even as complexity, AI, and disruption accelerated. PMI® Agile 2026 was a challenge to the Agile community to step up and shape what comes next.
This is where practitioners and leaders came together to examine what’s working, what’s breaking down, and how agility must continue to evolve to drive real organizational impact.
Agile practitioners were empowered to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. Together, we explored how Agile becomes a force for enterprise agility – shaping decision-making, execution, and resilience in a world of constant change.
The PMI® Agile 2026 program challenged the community to rethink how agility must evolve. Across six tracks, practitioners and leaders shared real-world experience scaling agility, navigating complexity, and driving meaningful change inside organizations.

Instead of focusing on frameworks or surface-level fixes, this session explored how to read the signals that matter, understand the system you’re operating in, and identify the levers that drive real impact. For practitioners and leaders alike, this is a new way to approach change – not as a rollout, but as a system to be understood and shaped.
Enterprise agility has always depended on how effectively organizations adapt to change. But in the age of AI, the challenge is no longer simply about speed; it’s about preserving the human capabilities that make meaningful adaptation possible in the first place. That’s the challenge Dr. Johan Roos explored on the PMI® Agile 2026 stage in July 2026.
In his keynote session, Johan examined why human centricity is the load-bearing value of the recently published Manifesto for Enterprise Agility and why AI raises the stakes for judgment, wisdom, curiosity, and collaboration rather than lowering them.
