SUMMARY:Reimagining Agility Panel
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 29 | 11:00 am – Noon ET | FREE Virtual Session\n\n\n\nReimagining Agility is an initiative to promote Agile and agility by reexamining and clarifying the core values and principles of Agile and extending those values and principles into new communities\, such as product management\, non-IT organizational units\, and overall enterprise agility. We’ve recently completed the first phase of the Reimagining Agility (RA) initiative: listening across regions\, industries\, and communities so that we can better understand the challenges practitioners believe the field must address. Our panelists will be discussing the findings of our Reimagining Agility virtual and in-person workshops carried out over the last year. But this is not a conclusion. It is the beginning of a deeper conversation. Our panel for this virtual session is comprised of some of our volunteer RA workshop facilitators: Carla Krieger\, Dr. Krishna Kumar\, and Eren Özdemir\, and Agile Alliance board members who help lead the Reimagining Agility initiative: David Luke and Darci Dutcher. Agile Alliance Managing Director\, Denise Jarvie\, will be hosting and moderating the panel. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n RSVP Now – Registration is free! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n \n X/TwitterThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.First Name*Last Name*Email*\n \n Job Title*Company/Organization Name*Country*Are you currently an Agile Alliance member?*\n \n \n Yes\n \n \n \n No\n \n \n \n No\, but please tell more!\n \n Submit

SUMMARY:Focus\, Flow\, and Cold Coffee: ADHD-Driven Development Practices
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 12 at 11:00 am EST | Virtual Session\n\n\n\nADHD can feel like constant motion—an abundance of ideas\, shifting focus\, and competing priorities. For many professionals\, this can create challenges with attention\, memory\, and sustained productivity. This session explores how proven software development practices—such as Test-Driven Development (TDD)\, collaborative programming\, and discovery techniques—can support individuals to work more effectively with their cognitive patterns. Drawing on personal experience\, you will learn how these approaches can reduce cognitive load\, improve focus\, and enable more consistent outcomes. The session also highlights practical ways to create team environments that support neurodiversity\, benefiting both individuals and overall team performance. \n\n\n\nBy the end of this session\, you will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nUnderstand how ADHD-related traits can influence software development and how these traits can be leveraged as strengths.\n\n\n\nApply practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD)\, collaborative programming (including mob programming)\, and discovery techniques to reduce cognitive load and improve productivity.\n\n\n\nIdentify strategies to build neurodiversity-friendly team environments that promote structure\, collaboration\, and sustainable work practices.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet your speaker\n\n\n\nPaige Watson is a software development practitioner and advocate for quality-focused\, human-centered engineering practices. He emphasizes the principles of “quality software as craft\,” recognizing that building sustainable\, scalable systems requires both technical excellence and thoughtful design. Paige has extensive experience guiding teams to improve their development practices\, enabling them to deliver maintainable\, high-quality software while evolving into cohesive\, high-performing units. He is also an active speaker and educator\, leading workshops and sessions for global organizations to share practical strategies for improving software development outcomes and team effectiveness.

SUMMARY:Agile Practice in the Age of AI Disruption
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, December 11 | 11:00 am – 2:00 pm ET | Virtual Event\n\n\n\nA half-day virtual conference for Agile practitioners on staying effective as AI keeps changing the terrain. Agile Alliance’s research report “Closing the Change Readiness Gap” found that organizations thriving with AI aren’t the ones that change fastest – it’s the ones that can keep changing without falling apart. \n\n\n\nAbout this Agile MiniCon\n\n\n\nAgile practice has always asked us to hold plans loosely: to iterate\, adapt\, and respond to change. But under pressure\, sometimes Agile practice settles into a familiar kind of certainty-seeking — predictable velocity\, comprehensive backlogs\, confident roadmaps — just dressed in Agile language. \n\n\n\nAI is exposing the gap. It changes the shape of the work faster than most planning cycles can absorb. It rewards people who are comfortable with ambiguity\, with making rapid judgment calls\, and who are willing to be wrong and correct course quickly. Staying flexible isn’t the same as having no plan–it takes judgment and discipline to know what to hold onto and what to let go.  \n\n\n\nThis isn’t about abandoning structure or chasing every disruption AI introduces. Enterprise agility has always meant knowing where firmness serves you and where it doesn’t. What AI adds is speed and stakes: the cost of gripping too tight\, for too long\, on the wrong thing\, is higher than it used to be. AI can generate analysis and options and code quickly. What it cannot do is build the trust\, alignment\, and shared judgment that lets a team act together when the plan is constantly changing. That part stays human. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t an Agile MiniCon about AI tools. We’re bringing together Agile practitioners to foster the judgment\, adaptability\, and human capabilities required when AI continually changes the conditions around us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n RSVP Now – Registration is free! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n PhoneThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.First Name*Last Name*Email*\n \n Job Title*Company/Organization Name*Country*Are you currently an Agile Alliance member?*\n \n \n Yes\n \n \n \n No\n \n \n \n No\, but please tell more!\n \n Submit
