Abstract/Description

The processes that have grown up around “Agile” are all capable of being spread too thin, of being understood so poorly that they deliver only mediocre results at best. They can’t provide the joy in the work that the Agile Manifesto authors and early adherents came to know and love. We need to find the “strawberries,” the ideas that are solid enough that they can’t be watered down or spread thin. Some of these “berries” might be defined as “practices,” but some may fall more into the realm of values and principles.

“Working software is at the core of success with Agile methods. Let’s remind ourselves about that.” — Ron Jeffries
