Agile Practice in the Age of AI Disruption
December 11 All day

Friday, December 11 | 11:00 am – 2:00 pm ET | Virtual Event
A half-day virtual conference for Agile practitioners on staying effective as AI keeps changing the terrain. Agile Alliance’s research report “Closing the Change Readiness Gap” found that organizations thriving with AI aren’t the ones that change fastest – it’s the ones that can keep changing without falling apart.
The Call for Submissions is Now Open
We’re looking for 20-minute talks from practitioners doing this work firsthand, including developers, scrum masters, delivery managers, product managers, product owners, Agile coaches, and team and organizational leaders. This is not an event about AI tools or product demos. Bring your practical stories about how people and teams are adapting as AI changes the work. Tell us what you tried, what happened, what you learned, and what you changed. Learn more now
About this Agile MiniCon
Agile practice has always asked us to hold plans loosely: to iterate, adapt, and respond to change. But under pressure, sometimes Agile practice settles into a familiar kind of certainty-seeking — predictable velocity, comprehensive backlogs, confident roadmaps — just dressed in Agile language.
AI is exposing the gap. It changes the shape of the work faster than most planning cycles can absorb. It rewards people who are comfortable with ambiguity, with making rapid judgment calls, and who are willing to be wrong and correct course quickly. Staying flexible isn’t the same as having no plan–it takes judgment and discipline to know what to hold onto and what to let go.
This isn’t about abandoning structure or chasing every disruption AI introduces. Enterprise agility has always meant knowing where firmness serves you and where it doesn’t. What AI adds is speed and stakes: the cost of gripping too tight, for too long, on the wrong thing, is higher than it used to be. AI can generate analysis and options and code quickly. What it cannot do is build the trust, alignment, and shared judgment that lets a team act together when the plan is constantly changing. That part stays human.
This isn’t an Agile MiniCon about AI tools. We’re bringing together Agile practitioners to foster the judgment, adaptability, and human capabilities required when AI continually changes the conditions around us.
