Join Us at the 2016 Agile Executive Forum

Agile methods are now mainstream in IT. After nearly two decades of widespread adoption, things are really getting exciting!

In the early days, we were happy just to get a few Agile teams going in the face of organizational cultures steeped in the Waterfall methods. Scrum took off, and many, many organizations got their Agile teams going. Agile teams deliver faster, with better value and higher customer satisfaction. Some teams wisely implemented hybrids, with eXtreme Programming (XP) and Scrum. Then, Kanban came along, and Agile methods spread to every nook and cranny in the world.

A few years ago, with the advent of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), and Nexus, we saw organizations aggregate their team delivery into programs and portfolios. Industry leaders such as Salesforce, Walmart, and Capital One have been able to accrue the benefits that have come with scaling Agile methods up. We have also seen the rise of Agile-savvy leaders in these organizations, and many of them are now in the ‘C’ suite. Executives like Mark Schwatrz, CIO at the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services have been transforming their organizations using Agile methods in conjunction with DevOps to deliver solutions faster and more reliably to their customers.

Now, things have gotten exciting because these leaders have been exploring how to leverage their Agile delivery capability built up over years, and parlay it into something much, much more powerful. Specifically, these leaders have been creating organizational agility built on the foundation of their Agile teams, program, and portfolios.

In particular, creating resilience and driving innovation has been a focus. Industry leaders like Intuit and Pivotal, and government leaders like the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) are stepping up to this challenge. At the 2016 Agile Executive Forum (AEF2016), come join a select group of executives and top Agile leaders to explore how your organization can anticipate, prepare for, and respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions. Learn how leading organizations not only survive but thrive and prosper amidst extreme turbulence.

With a star-studded group of speakers, you’re in for a treat. Learn from:

  1. Rob Mee, the CEO of Pivotal, will talk about how software has changed the world, and how the world’s largest companies are transforming into great software companies themselves.
  2. Karyn Hayes-Ryan, Executive at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, will share her experiences transforming a large federal government agency in the Intelligence space.
  3. Stelio Verzara, CEO of Cocoon Labs, and inventor of Liquid Organizations, will present a radical new innovation and organizational model for the 21st century.
  4. Jennifer Richardson, SVP at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, will present on designing new roles and business drivers for optimal transformation and organizational resilience.
  5. Faye Hall, VP at American Express, will share her unique experience with an 800-team transformation.

We’ll also have an Innovation Panel, with many of these speakers and Ahmed Sidky, from Riot Games, presenting their secret sauce for innovation.

All through the day, attendees can stop by the Innovation Lab for a unique experience. They will get to apply some of the latest findings in the neuroscience of leadership to make the critical changes that are vital to their personal and organizational transformation…..and have fun!
